Being-as-Becoming Among Ilokanos delves into the heart of the Ilokano worldview, examining Ilokano knowledge systems, relationalities, and ways of engaging with and making sense of the world. This level contextualizes and mobilizes the vocabulary learned in previous sections, situating it within the lived experiences and spiritual landscapes of the Ilocos region and the diaspora. Students will begin to see that the Ilokano language does not merely label the world—it shapes how one thinks, feels, and exists. This course is for those who wish not only to speak Ilokano but to manifest an Ilokano way of being-as-becoming.
